Presentation Overviews
Speaker: Ed Delia, Delia Associates
Topic: Personal Branding: Understanding Brand YOU
Duration: 20 minutes to 2 hours
Overview:
This presentation is designed for single practitioners, independent consultants and other professionals that make their living predominantly on their persona and reputations.
The "Brand YOU" presentation will help audience members understand how the concept of branding can be applied to an individual. In the course of the presentation, we will discuss how a person can apply branding tactics to differentiate him or herself from the competition, and represent the best choice to a prospect’s needs. The discussion will also show how the best personality – not the best person – often wins an assignment.
Popular examples of effective personal branding, such as Donald Trump, Howard Stern, Oprah, Martha Stewart, and others, will be discussed to highlight commonalities, and personal branding "dos and don’ts."
Finally, audience members will be given the basic groundwork for thinking about their personal brand in addition to delivering their personal brand message to customers and prospects.
Key presentation points include:
- It IS a Popularity Contest
- What's a Brand?
- The Rise of Personal Branding
- Brand You & Word-of-Mouth
- Getting Started, Looking Inward. Who are YOU?
- Becoming (just a little bit) Famous
- Getting the Word out about Brand YOU
